The
Wilmington Police Patrol Officers Union is an association of police
officers convened for the mutual benefit of its members. Our
membership shall consist of all full-time, permanent police officers,
excluding the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, deputy chief and
chief. Our goals are to obtain and promote a healthy and
harmonious workplace environment, to fairly represent each member in
their employment as a Wilmington Police Officer, and to promote the
organization’s standing in the community through civic and
charitable
activities. Our membership is represented in its endeavors by
a democratically elected executive board consisting of a president,
vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The Wilmington
Police Patrol Officers Union is a local affiliate of the New England
Police Benevolent Association Inc. In turn, the NEPBA is
chartered local of the International Union of Police Associations
AFL/CIO.
